Kaikō ProjectKaikō is a full-featured multimedia search engine library written entirely in Java. Kaikō is also an implementation of the standard ISO/IEC 15938-12:2008 (MPEG Query Format (MPQF)) and the standard ISO/IEC CD 24800-3:2008 (JPSearch). About the name 'Kaikō'Kaikō was a deep-sea Japanese research submersible. It sampled bacteria from the ocean floor of the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, the deepest location in the world. Kaikō was lost during Typhoon Chan-Hom in May 2003, when a secondary cable connecting it to the surface broke.
